When you meet Cindy Volk, it's clear why her clients describe her as providing a “fun real estate experience.” Cindy brings optimism, enthusiasm and top-notch organizational skills to her passion for finding clients their perfect home.
Cindy's devotion to her clients helped her earn the 2011 Rookie of the Year award from the
Northwestern Board of Vermont Realtors. The designation, awarded annually to an industry newcomer, acknowledges Cindy's sales achievements, her commitment to education and her dedication to community service.
A native of Middlebury, Cindy attended
Johnson State College and earned a Bachelor's degree in business management. Cindy next lived in Iowa for four years, but in 2001 returned to Vermont, where she juggled the demands of family and a career. With her degree in business management, Cindy spent 10 years handling the operations of a medical practice, with her responsibilities including bookkeeping and billing.
Deciding to fulfill her lifelong love for real estate, Cindy next received her real estate license and in 2009 began working for Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty. Working with
first-time buyers is a passion for Cindy, who enjoys helping clients move from apartments or rentals into their first homes.
First-time buyers are often apprehensive of the process, something that Cindy aims to demystify while encouraging them to take the first step toward home ownership. “I try to take out some of the fear for first-time buyers,” Cindy notes. “I love getting people organized and to see clients move up.”
As a current resident of Highgate and a former resident of
St. Albans, Cindy often represents clients in
Franklin County, but also works with sellers and buyers in
Chittenden County. “I try to make things low stress,” Cindy notes. With her background in business management, Cindy offers top-level organizational skills to her clients.
Learning about the real estate industry's latest advancements is also important to Cindy. She recently earned the industry's e-PRO certification for online marketing and social-media skills. Whether clients want to connect via their iPads or smartphones, Cindy is available for them.
Among her additional credentials are the Green designation, which helps Realtors market and understand properties with energy-efficient details, and the industry's short sales and foreclosure resource designation.
Cindy lives with her three children in Highgate.

Long overdue thank you for the excellent job you did for me and Marge
in prepping and repping the sale of her home. You are an exceptional
person and a terrific business woman and you are exactly the kind of
professional I enjoy dealing with. Thank you for making every step of
the way easy, understandable and stress-free. AND thank you, also, for
the beautiful framed flower print, which now hangs in my kitchen. You
are so thoughtful and sweet and kind and fun and you go above and
beyond with a smile on your face and a can-do attitude. I know you
will continue to be successful.
- Lili, St. Albans
