Art and Culture in Vermont

From stage performances at the Flynn Theater, to outdoor concerts celebrating the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Greater Burlington area has an amazing array of art and cultural activities to enjoy year round. Craft Fairs and Farmer's Markets featuring handmade Vermont products are held in nearly every community throughout the summer and fall. If you're missing the big city experience, Boston is just a 3 hour drive or 90 minutes to Montreal. You can even jump on a commuter flight and be in New York City or Washington in about an hour. Vermont Recreation Activities 

 
The variety of recreation activities throughout all the towns in Chittenden County is amazing. Public parks to Town Recreation Department programs; golf courses to boating on Lake Champlain; and of course, some of the best skiing in the Northeast. You'll be amazed by the choice of activities directly out your front door or easily within an hours drive. In fact, National Geographic recognized Burlington, Vermont on the Top 100 List of America's Adventure Towns. Biking or walking to work is still an option for many, as downtown neighborhoods become popular locales for families and business professionals. 

Vermont Culinary Favorites

The Greater Burlington area has no shortage of fantastic restaurants. From fine dining to local pubs; Asian, French, or Italian cuisine - your appetite will be forever satisfied. Vermont is home to the New England Culinary Institute, one of the finest culinary art schools. Many great chefs have stayed & opened their own fantastic restaurants here - much to our culinary delight. We are also fortunate to have state-wide programs, like the Vermont Fresh Network, designed to increase the amount of locally grown food served at restaurants across the state. When you dine out in Greater Burlington area, be sure to look for the Vermont Fresh Network seal.
