href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county.html\">Addison County<\/a> is a bright spot in our 2018 Market Report, with healthy increases in median sales prices (up 7%) and average sales prices (up 8%) of single-family homes. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The median and average sales prices of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/condos-townhomes-sale-addison-county.html\">condos<\/a> are up 6 and 7%, respectively. Inventory is moving quickly, too: Days on the market \u2014 from listing to closing \u2014 for single-family homes dropped by 4%, and dropped 20% for condos. New listings decreased in both categories.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/middlebury-real-estate.html\">Middlebury<\/a>, Addison County\u2019s largest town, saw a 66% rise in single-family home sales over 2016. With a strong increase in buyer demand, and a 7% dip in new listings, the median sale price of a Middlebury home jumped by nearly 13% to $265,000. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/monkton-real-estate.html\">Monkton<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/bristol-real-estate.html\">Bristol<\/a> also had healthy increases in sales and median pricing, as buyers search for a quality of life and reasonable commuting distance to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/greater-burlington-vermont-real-estate.html\">greater Burlington area<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Land sales were strong in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county.html\">Addison County,<\/a> too \u2014 up 37% from 2016, with 184 new<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/land-sale-vermont.html\"> land listings<\/a> on the market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont-market-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Addison-County-Town-Report.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1638 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont-market-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Addison-County-Town-Report.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont-market-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Addison-County-Town-Report.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont-market-report\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Addison-County-Town-Report-300x243.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Addison County is a bright spot in our 2018 Market Report, with healthy increases in median sales prices (up 7%) and average sales prices (up 8%) of single-family homes.
