With sellers looking to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/home-selling\/downsizing-rightsizing.html\">right size<\/a>\u201d their home and take advantage of a \u201cseller\u2019s market\u201d \u2013 many are turning to land purchases to build a custom home. Permitting, development and building costs can contribute to higher than average prices for the home when complete \u2013 however, the buyers benefit from new, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/green-homes-sale-vermont.html\">energy efficient<\/a> and lower maintenance options.
