The number of homes sold increased by 12% &#8211; nearly triple the increase across the region. The pace of the market accelerated as well with the average time from listing to close at only 2 months \u2013 down from 3 months mid-year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/middlebury-real-estate.html\">Middlebury<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/bristol-real-estate.html\">Bristol<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/vergennes-real-estate.html\">Vergennes<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/ferrisburgh-real-estate.html\">Ferrisburgh<\/a> topped the county for the most homes sold in 2021, followed closely by Monkton, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/orwell-vermont-real-estate.html\">Orwell<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/new-haven-vermont-real-estate.html\">New Haven<\/a>. The highest median sale prices were reported in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/cornwall-vermont-real-estate.html\">Cornwall<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/addison-county\/addison-real-estate.html\">Addison<\/a>, and Lincoln. Accessibility to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/waterfront-real-estate-addison-county.html\">Lake Champlain<\/a>, the mountains, and an easy commute to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hickokandboardman.com\/vermont\/special-markets\/greater-burlington-vermont-real-estate.html\">greater Burlington<\/a> area for employment are motivators for buyers.
