Cecile Provost REALTOR
Your home is your Oasis...big or small, country or city setting, contemporary or traditional…it is your heart and soul that makes it home! Cecile Provost is a proud sales agent with Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty. She is very proud of earning the prestigious award of Sterling Society which represents the Top 25% of all Coldwell Banker Sales associates Worldwide in 2018.
Raised in a large, French, farming family in the North East Kingdom in Derby, VT taught Cecile to have pride in everything she does, make the best with what you have and to enjoy life where ever you live. This is why she loves working with so many different individuals and their real estate needs. Those values have taken her on an incredible life journey.
After attending the University of Vermont Cecile joined the Air Force and was active duty for 9 years working in Accounting and Finance/Budget. The Air Force is where she started managing teams and discovered her strengths at being an excellent organizer, good communicator and trainer. To feel more connected to the community she bought her first home at 23 years old. This experience is what started her love of real estate and knew she would someday enter this profession. Buying her first home gave her such a sense of belonging and freedom to express herself. This is the type of joy and excitement she wants her clients to experience working with her. When transferred to Japan adjusting to such small homes gave her the opportunity to realize the potential use of whatever space you call home. During her time in Japan Cecile completed her BA in Business Administration from the University of Maryland with a minor in Accounting. Four years later Cecile was transferred to England where she purchased her 2nd home and sold her first home in California after renting it for 4 years. Cecile retired from the Air Force and began managing accounting teams and troubleshooting office policies and procedures. She developed a reputation of being a strong and fair manager with excellent negotiating skills, extremely reliable and good for her word. Six years later Cecile moved back to her home state to be with family and get reconnected with the beautiful green mountains that she missed. When Cecile moved back to Vermont she spent hours driving around Chittenden County looking for the perfect location and home for her family. She realized after living in such different cultures that she wanted to design and build her home. Since moving back Cecile has had her hand in many adventures with real estate always creeping back in every 2 to 3 years. Cecile was a successful underwriter for inventory financing of Modular Homes, loan advisor for student loans, owner of 2 successful businesses; The Balance Act for Debt counseling and Faux Pro LLC for interior design and faux painting. For the past 11 years she worked as an office manager overseeing accounts receivable, payables, programming and pricing. Given this array of endeavors Cecile has experience with handling many different situations, strong customer service skills, excellent listening skills, great time management, mediating and negotiation skills as well as outstanding organization. Throughout wearing all these different hats the constant pull has been to own her own business, work with people and the love of real estate. Cecile designed her home, designed and built an In-law apartment, bought rental property for investment, and assisted family members in relocating and purchasing homes. Her last challenge was buying her family home to convert into 7 apartments. Cecile designed all the units for this project and was the General Contractor throughout the renovation. Given her passion for real estate she resigned her position as office manager to pursue her lifelong dream.

Right from the beginning Cecile understood what we wanted in a piece of property. She stayed on top of the market and alerted us to not only new listings within our parameters but actively and creatively searched out alternative possibilities for us to explore. We are a little bit unconventional and we totally appreciated Cecile going places that most folks would be afraid to drive to. Most of all, we are grateful that Cecile has an ‘all in’ approach to her work. She really fought for us on many levels to make this happen. We owe Cecile a debt of gratitude for helping us navigate through a very complicated and stressful process from ‘searching’ to ‘closing’ on our dream property. She knows her stuff and we could not have done it without her. We really feel like little kids on Christmas morning. We could not be any happier with the result. Thank you, Cecile! John
Cecile did an amazing job for us! She was able to quickly learn what features in a home appealed most to both of us, and made house hunting a fun experience. Thanks to her, the process of finding our perfect home was stress free. Cecile found us plenty of options and even helped get us in to look at homes we didn't think we would be able to see. Her communication was amazing, and she was always quick to answer any questions that we had. Being first time home buyers, I could not have asked for a better experience. She was always organized, and was more then happy to share her real estate expertise with us. Without Cecile, finding our perfect home would not have been possible. -Brian
Cecile was amazing with selling our home. We had several time constraints and she worked around each one. Everything she promised to provide she did above and beyond. Our home had a contract in 5 days after it was listed and she negotiated a great deal. I would recommend Cecile for anyone thinking about listing their home…she make it seamless for us and really kept everyone on schedule.
After house shopping mostly on our own for nineteen months, making five offers and having two deals fall through, we ran into Cecile Provost at an open house and appreciated her low-pressure approach. Within ten days of signing on with Cecile, we had an offer accepted on a terrific house. Cecile smoothed the bumps along the way and made sure the purchase went through. We moved in right before Christmas and were able to host our family holiday gathering for the first time. The house is everything we’d hoped for and more. – Cathe
Cecile is a true professional, honest and trustworthy. She went above and beyond for us. Once we decided not to do a FSBO, Cecile wasted no time - she had it listed and Open House scheduled by the end of the week and an acceptable offer from the buyers 2 days later. Cecile helped save the sale for us. I would go to her for advice again if ever in the position of selling or buying

I am super thankful to have Cecile help me find my first home! I met her after a few months of looking for a place without an agent, and I quickly realized that having the right person to guide you is the best thing ever. I am incredibly impressed on how knowledgeable she was in showing/explaining/describing things everything about a house. More importantly, she was very patient with my curiosity and indecisiveness, and she was determined to keep going until we found the right one. Thank you so much - you totally made this an easier and super fun experience!
